Winter Wonderland

Friday we had our first snowstorm of the season and it was a big one! About 16 inches of snow fell. I love the first snow. It is peaceful, beautiful, and in some ways, relaxing.  We didn’t get super cold temperatures until last night.  Today, the picture was a bit less beautiful, as the sidewalks and roads had quite a bit of ice on them.  Luckily the sun came out and began melting most of the ice. This week it is supposed to get warmer, so the snow will not last, but the beauty will remain in my mind.  My one regret was my grand-daughter wasn’t here to help me build a snowman or make snow angels!!  Hoping for at least one snowy day in the near future to play with her outside!!!
